Canlubang Golf and Country Club, Inc. was incorporated on May 30, 1975 but started its full operations on April 8, 1978. Its securities were registed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for sale to the public on September 2, 1975.

The Club was organized as a non-profit entity to operate exclusively for the promotion of the social, recreational and athletic well-being of its sharedholders. The core facilities have from time to time been introduced for the benefit of the members' families.

The Club hold two eighteen (18)-hole golf courses known as the North Course and South Course, respectively. The North Course was completed in April 1978, while the South course, along with a sport complex consisting of swimming pools and tennis courts, was completed in March 1979. Both golf courses were designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the renowned golf course architect. The Club's course hold the distinction of being first 36-hole golf complex of championship standard in Southeast Asia.
